Hi, I'm Emma
I’m Emma, a Scottish millinery designer based in the rolling hills of Dumfries & Galloway.
I was born and raised on a farm in Scotland - a farmer’s daughter who has always been a designer and maker at heart. Creativity was something that came naturally from a young age, eventually leading me to study fashion design at university.
Older and wiser, I returned home to Scotland where my heart has always belonged. Today I live and work in a small former mining village, surrounded by the landscapes and seasons that continue to inspire my work.
Nestled in a small former mining village in the hills of Dumfries & Galloway, the studio is where every Fascinatingly Different creation begins.
Founded only 5 years ago, Emma's Studio has quickly gained international recognition - from features in HATalk Magazine to multiple Awards and exhibiting globally - including Hong Kong’s prestigious SaSa Ladies’ Day and New York Fashion Week as part of Dress to Kilt.
Sustainability is at the heart of the studio. Emma is committed to zero waste, sourcing materials locally wherever possible, reimagining vintage hats into new creations - with offcuts and overlooked materials find their way into unexpected details.

Heirloom Re-style
Emma offers both fully bespoke hats - designed from scratch for you - and Made-to-Order pieces, where you can personalise an existing design through colour, material, or small details.
